I stepped away for a while…here’s why

If you've noticed that I've been a little quieter in the beauty space, there's a reason.

I stepped back.

Not because I stopped loving hair or the work I've spent decades building—but because I was changing.

I went back to school. I began training to become a therapist. And somewhere in the middle of helping other people think about who they are, I found myself asking some of those same questions.

Who am I now?

What still fits?

What am I ready to let go of?

And what do I want this next chapter of my life to look like?

I realized something:

Sometimes we don't need to reinvent ourselves. We need permission to become who we've already been growing into.

So, I'm returning to the beauty space—but I'm bringing more of myself with me.

We'll still talk about beautiful hair.

I'll still teach you how to care for your hair, protect it and find hair solutions that make life easier.

But we're also going to talk about confidence.

Identity.

Change.

Getting older.

Starting over.

And what happens when the woman looking back at you in the mirror isn't quite the same woman she used to be.

Because after 30+ years behind the styling chair, I've learned that women rarely come to us just for hair.

Sometimes we're looking for a little piece of ourselves again.

I'm excited about where we're going next.

P.S. I'm clearing out something from my previous season to make room for what's next. And some of you are going to get a REALLY good deal because of it.
